The Alpes-Maritimes Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revealed their 25-year plan to modernise the port the Antibes.

The Artemis consortium (CCI Nice Côte d'Azur and the Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur) already manage the ports of Nice, Cannes, Villefranche and Golfe-Juan, and as of 1st January 2017 they have added Port Vauban and Port Gallice to their portfolio.

Aiming to make the ports of Antibes the capital of Mediterranean yachting the consortium are investing 125 million euros over 25 years into Port Vauban and 16 million over 15 years into Port Gallice. The plans will include the renovation of the fairing areas, reinforcement of the ramparts, the creation of a yacht club with a restaurant, refurbishment of Fort Carré and the construction of an underground car park.

Teaming up with renowned architect Philippe Prost and his architectural firm AAPP, the plans for modernisation include burying a large proportion of the parking in order to create more space for pedestrians and landscaped areas.
