VIPs attend his AIDS Foundation Midsummer Party

A South of France local, Elton John has celebrated his AIDS Foundation Midsummer Party near his summer dwellings, at the luxury Villa Dorane in Antibes. Owned by entrepreneur and art collector Jean Pigozzi, this stunning 1950's house, located in front of the sea, has hosted some of the most legendary parties in the Cote d'Azur.

Elton John and his husband David Furnish welcomed an impressive group of guests comprising Hollywood stars, models, musicians and businesspeople. Taron Egerton, who played Elton in 'Rocketman', was one of the many celebrities who got to enjoy the charity gala, even joining the legendary pop star on stage.

Another Cote d'Azur dweller, Joan Collins jetted over to Antibes from her house in neighbouring Saint-Tropez to walk the red (or should we say straw) carpet with her husband Percy Gibson. The Who's frontman, Pete Townshend, and Julian Lennon were also among the guests, as were models Victoria Silvstedt and Lata Leito.

This is the first time Elton John has chosen the South of France to celebrate his foundation's annual ball, with a vision for an AIDS-free future. There's no doubt that his connection to the area (he has a house in Nice) and the fact that the Cote d'Azur welcomes dozens of celebrities every summer were important factors he considered when choosing Antibes.
