We've celebrated Christmas, had a week long feast to bring us into the New Year and, if you're like me, then you probably have a fairly lazy 1st of January 2017. Now it's time to make those New Years resolution and get fit again.

A little excess Christmas weight never did anyone any harm but now it's time to think about your plans for the coming year. Why not combine some exercise and training with a short break to one of the most beautiful parts of France. In the first weekend of November (you have plenty of time to train!) the Cote d'Azur hosts the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes.

The 10th edition of this spectacular running race is now open for registration. What's stopping you from checking out some autumn accommodation deals, booking a cheap flight and taking you and your loved ones to the Cote d'Azur for a weekend of running festivities and the chance to take part in France's favourite marathon (second only to Paris) in 2017. Visit the website to register for the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes 2017, and get training!
