More than 14,300 runners – a record for the event – will set off on Sunday, 8th November at 08:00, from the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

The Marathon Expo gives runners and spectators an opportunity to discover the French Riviera Marathon’s partners and ensure they are fully equipped for Sunday’s event. This is also where runners collect their bibs – a critical process all competitors must go through before taking to the start line.

Runners are encouraged to visit the “Marathon06 – Solidarity for flood victims” booth. Initiated by the Comité Départemental Olympique et Sportif (CDOS06) with the support of the Alpes-Maritimes department, the French Riviera Marathon Nice-Cannes will participate in the ‘weekend of solidarity for flood victims‘. A fundraising campaign will be organised over the weekend at the Running Expo Marathon Village in partnership with the French Red Cross. On Sunday, a fundraising effort will also be organised at each of the six Marathon Relay points located in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, Vallauris Golfe-Juan and Cannes.

14,320 runners will set off from the Promenade des Anglais in Nice before crossing the finish line on the famous Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, a few metres from the Palais des Festivals.

This new participation record reinforces the French Riviera Marathon Nice-Cannes’ reputation as the biggest in France behind Paris. The race continues to cement its international appeal with 63 countries represented in the cosmopolitan field: Japan, USA, Sweden, UK, etc.
