This is a relatively narrow sand beach, backed by the Promenade du Soleil. It’s got a nice view across the bay and is very central to town.

This town beach has a central location with a good number of private beach clubs and pontoons, as well as some areas of public beach along towards the Plage Promenade du Soleil.
There are no public toilets or showers at this beach, and it’s not wheelchair-accessible. There are public pay toilets and a toilet block in the nearby Parc de la Pinede, and you’ll find more paid portable toilets nearby.
Dogs are forbidden on this Riviera beach between mid-April and early October, and because there are so many overlooking buildings, this might not be your best bet for a sneaky dog walk in summer.
Beach Bars & Beachclubs in Antibes
As the beach is so central to town, you can easily visit a local supermarket to pick up some supplies for a picnic. There are a plenty restaurants along this stretch of beach, including the La Petite Plage, Plage Juanita and Epi Beach.
Setting & Location
It’s a narrow strip of beach with the Promenade du Soleil at its back. It enjoys a gorgeous view across the bay to Golfe Juan and the Esterels, whilst off to your left you can see the superyachts gathered in Port Gallice and the beginning of the villas and pine forests of the wealthy Cap d’Antibes.
Water Safety & Clarity
Juan les Pins, in my experience, tends to have clearer waters than Antibes beaches in mid-summer, although that depends on the prevailing winds. As the two towns are on opposite sides of the Cap, there’s a good chance that if one side of the headland is a bit murky then the other will be clear. However, if you want crystal clear waters and a tranquil day out, then pack a picnic and hop on the short ferry ride over to the stunning Cannes islands, Les Isles de Lerin.
Stingers do sometimes plague Riviera beaches, but luckily some lovely soul maintains a jellyfish alert website, updating recent sightings of jellyfish along the Côte d’Azur. Check it out here - it’s in French, but it’s pretty easy to understand: it has big red jellyfish marked on the map, or green flags where it’s good to swim.
Beach Quality
Juan les Pins has lovely soft sand, and this beach is no exception. As mentioned, it’s not a terribly wide beach.
Watersports Nearby
This is the jetty where you can catch a boat to the Lerins Island, to explore the Cap d'Antibes, or even to explore the bottom of the sea on a glass bottomed boat. Several boat trip companies work in this area so you will be spoiled for choice. There are also watersports rentals at nearby Plage du Pont Dulys.
